Education, Training and Development Scenario in India

Education:
Education provides a knowledge base that underpins any other activities the individual may engage in at a later stage.

Strong knowledge has always been the backbone of India's growth. India's higher education system is the third largest in the world, next to the United States and China. The higher World Class education system in India includes both private and public universities. There are more than 722 Universities in India.

Surging demand for the secondary and tertiary education offers an invaluable opportunity to prepare a well-trained workforce which can generate growth in a knowledge-driven economy.

Training:

Training is not as general and tends to concentrate on skills development.

Development:

Development allows both activities to be integrated. It has been described as "the general enhancement and growth of an individual's skills and abilities through conscious and unconscious learning".

We may be asked why our training will be so effective......... the answer is in our exceptional training solutions based on FIVE Training Vowels.

A. Accountability:
Delegates must be held accountable for applying the learning of any training programme once they return to the workplace. There will be a follow up and encouragement to apply what had been learned.

E. Effectiveness:
Training must be instructionally sound. It must be relevant, applicable and anchored in reality. Course content must be appropriate and immediately applicable in the workplace. All 'learning styles' will need to be catered to ensure all participants connect at the peak of their ability.

I. Integration:
Training must be integrated with the overall Vision & Direction of the organisation. There must be clear reasons for training and obvious links to corporate initiatives and values.

O. Outcomes:
Training must have a purpose - not simply as an exercise in box ticking. Clearly defined outcomes and measurable goals provide direction, through which accountability and ownership for future improvement is possible.

U. Understanding:
Training must be supported by leaders who understand the purpose behind it. When leaders understand the desired training outcomes they can support, coach and encourage the use of techniques, skills and behaviours learned, once delegates return to the workplace.

When all of the above elements are combined, the impact of a good training program will be immense and visible and likely to result in real and sustainable improvement and significant changes will be observed after the trainees going back to their workplace.

The rewards for your company will, therefore, be tangible, the results clearly seen - and the worthwhile returns on investment rewarded. With this in mind, we will work with our customers like you, not only to develop effective training programs but also to partner in the 'pre and post program' support that will make all the difference.
